Our Alliance

We were delighted to be one of the first 100 Teaching Schools designated in September 2011 and the first one in central London. The designation acknowledged our long standing commitment to professional development and outreach work.

The role of a Teaching School is an ambitious and complex one. No one school can deliver in all the areas, fundamental to the concept of Teaching Schools is that collaboration between school and its partners is the best way to develop staff and schools.

Our alliance of schools

Our Teaching School Alliance is made up of primary, secondary, special and independent schools. Some of the schools have a longstanding relationship with St Marylebone, others have joined because they can see the benefits of schools working collaboratively. Many of the schools are local, others are further away. The schools have different strengths and share

Our Teaching School Strategic Partners

The training needs of the alliance and schools that we work with are complex and we work in partnership with a variety of Strategic Partners to deliver many aspects of ITT, CPD and School to School support.

Each Alliance School has its own Higher Education Institution (HEI) links to train new staff, such as School Direct trainees. Additionally, the Teaching School has close relationships with other organisations.
